RE-TIPPING SERVICES
We offer dental instrument re-tipping services for scalers, curettes, explorers, probes, and most operatives. Re-tipping is the process of removing old, worn-out dental instrument tips from existing handles, and replacing them with new tips. The handles are inspected to ensure there are no cracks. Instruments that have cracked, plastic or solid handles will be replaced with new handles.
SHARPENING SERVICES
We offer dental instrument sharpening services for scalers, curettes, explorers, some operatives, periodontal knives, and surgical scissors. Sharpening is the process of removing small amounts of metal from a dental instrument blade or tip to maintain a sharp edge. An instrument can only be sharpened if there is sufficient metal remaining.
